Betting Indianapolis Colts

In Week 1, the Colts met the Houston Texans, and though they hung in there, they went on to lose. They would score 14 points in the final quarter but came up short in the end, 29 to 27. Anthony Richardson finished with 212 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception despite only throwing 19 passes. In the end, he gained 56 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Alec Pierce caught three passes for 75 yards and a touchdown in a fantastic performance.

The defense was a big problem, even though the offense was good. They permitted CJ Stroud to pass for two touchdowns and 234 yards. Joe Mixon was able to rush for 159 yards because of the defense’s poor performance against the run. The defense has two things to do in this game. To make things simpler for the offense, they must first halt the run and then attempt to force a few turnovers.

The Colts’ 8-0 ATS record in their previous eight games versus the NFC North is intriguing to bettors. Week 1 saw the Colts and junior quarterback Anthony Richardson show encouraging indications of development. They finally lost to C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans by a narrow margin, and they will now play the Love-less Packers in Green Bay.

Betting Green Bay Packers

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Packers in their opening game of the season in Brazil, and Jordan Love went down with an MCL injury. Love had completed 17 of his 34 passes for 260 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception before he was hurt. The most notable aspect of Packers vs. Eagles is undoubtedly Jordan Love’s devastating injury in the closing minutes of the game, but Green Bay’s defense found it difficult to contain Philly’s formidable offensive line.

When several linebackers chose the incorrect gaps, Saquon Barkley was able to break through and destroy the Packers. We don’t think Green Bay can close those deficits in a week because Indianapolis’ offensive line is almost as big and talented. Malik Willis came in and threw a Hail Mary, and he’s going to be the starting here. The Titans passed on Willis, who was selected in the third round of the 2022 NFL draft. For the Packers to have any chance going forward, they need him to have a big game and then several more.

In portions of 12 football games, Willis has completed slightly more than 52% of his throws while throwing three interceptions and no touchdowns. With Love off the field, the Colts should control possession time and exploit the weaknesses in the Packers’ run defense with Richardson and Jonathan Taylor.

The Packers’ defense needs to improve because it performed horribly in the opening game. They intercepted Jalen Hurts twice but 34 points were allowed by the defense. Causing a few turnovers would help their cause.

Why the Packers can beat the Packers: The Packers have defeated teams that are on a losing skid in each of their last nine home games. After a Division game, the Colts have dropped their last two games as favorites at betting sites for the NFL.

In their last six home games in Week 2, the Packers have covered the spread. Four of their last five Week 2 games as favorites, the Colts have failed to cover the spread. In their last three Week 2 games as favorites, the Colts have lost the first quarter in every one of them. After a home loss, the Colts have dropped the opening half of nine of their previous twelve games.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Green Bay Packers NFL Pick

It’s a David versus. Goliath scenario between Anthony Richardson and Malik Willis, but the Packers will find a way to keep this game close, and they may even win it completely, even though this is a risky wager. The Colts’ defense was a huge problem in the opening contest, and they will have a difficult time stopping the opposition this time around.

Here, the Packers will rely more on their rushing game, while Willis will try to cut down on his turnovers. The Packers will cover the spread even though it may not be the most visually appealing game.
