Monday Night Football: Jets vs. 49ers NFL Week 1 Betting Preview & Analysis

Jets vs. 49ers NFL Week 1 Betting Odds for Monday Night Football

In the first Monday Night Football game of the season, NFL gambling sites have the 49ers as four-point favorites over the Jets. The NFL schedule makers crafted two possible playoff teams in an ideal matchup with countless stories.

Leonard Floyd, now a 49ers player, made the tackle that put Aaron Rodgers on the shelf in Week 1 last season. In addition, Rodgers is playing the team that passed him over in the NFL Draft of 2005, and he hasn’t hidden his resentment from them.

The fact that Jets coach Robert Saleh is going against his former boss and mentor Kyle Shanahan is getting lost in all of the Aaron Rodgers turmoil. For four years in San Francisco, the two called plays against each other daily during practice. Under the MNF lights, Saleh has three 49ers cast-offs (Solomon Thomas, Javon Kinlaw, and DJ Reed) out to get even.

Betting NY Jets

Everyone witnessed the Jets’ demise the previous season. In the first quarter of the opening game, newly acquired veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered an injury from which the team never fully recovered. Nonetheless, New York finished 7–10 overall, largely thanks to a strong defense.

In any case, the Jets won all three of their exhibition games. Preseason results don’t always indicate success or failure in the regular season. These were against the Panthers 15–12, the New York Giants 10–6, and the Washington Commanders 20–17.

All five of Mike Williams’s previous September appearances with his team as the best online sportsbooks’ road underdog have resulted in at least one touchdown. In nine of his last ten games as an underdog against NFC opponents, Aaron Rodgers has thrown two or more touchdowns.

Four of the Jets’ last five games have seen Breece Hall record 126 yards or more in receiving and rushing combined. In four of his previous five September road underdog games against NFC opponents, Aaron Rodgers has accumulated 255 yards or more in throwing.

In four of his past five Monday away games, Aaron Rodgers has rushed for more than sixteen yards. In each of his last eight away games in September, Mike Williams has accumulated more than sixty-nine receiving yards.

Betting San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers enjoyed a fantastic season the previous year, but it ended in disappointment. After finishing 12-5 overall, San Francisco defeated the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Playoffs and the Detroit Lions in the NFC Championship. But the Niners would lose 25-22 in overtime to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl.

The 49ers experienced every possible result in preseason action, finishing 1-1-1. After falling to the Tennessee Titans 17–13 in the first game, San Francisco defeated the New Orleans Saints 16–10. The Niners and Raiders would settle for a 24–24 deadlock in the championship game.

Brock Purdy has accumulated 252 yards or more in throwing in each of his previous nine games in California. In his last eight games on the West Coast, Christian McCaffrey has accumulated 78+ rushing yards in each of those games.

In his last seven West Coast games, Christian McCaffrey has amassed more than 128 receiving and rushing yards in every one of them. The 49ers’ last six games during the regular season versus AFC opponents have had Brandon Aiyuk achieve 55+ receiving yards in each of those contests.

In three of his last four games, Brock Purdy has had 22 or more completions with the Niners playing as favorite at NFL gambling sites. Four of the past five regular season games that Brock Purdy has played have seen him toss two or more touchdowns. Last season, Christian McCaffrey led the NFL in rushing yards (1,559 total).

New York Jets vs. San Francisco 49ers NFL pick

We intend to stick with the 49ers. But this game should be entertaining enough. It will be exciting to see the Jets’ strong defense against San Francisco’s explosive offense. With 22.4 points per game on the road last season, New York was rated 13th in the NFL. That might or might not be sufficient, depending on the performance of the Jets’ offense.

Regarding the Jets offense, this will be our first opportunity to see how Aaron Rodgers will lead the team. It’s difficult to determine how to feel about the Jets offense vs the 49ers defense since there are a lot of moving parts. However, we anticipate a lesser score total as both teams acquire some experience under their belts. It will be entertaining to watch.
